Difference between standard yellow O-ring and Securfrabo yellow O-ring
They are both HNBR O-rings and they can seem very similar but actually, the standard yellow O-ring, suitable only for gas applications, is very different from the yellow O-ring of FRABOPRESS SECURFRABO fittings, suitable both for gas and water application, indistinctly.
The compound chemical composition used for the SECURFRABO yellow O-ring is very different from the composition normally used for HNBR yellow O-ring for gas applications. The SECURFRABO yellow O-ring composition has been appositely developed in order to guarantee perfect performances in gas and water applications. It assures:
- Long life installation in every application
- Complete hygienic safety
The reliability of the SECURFRABO Yellow O-ring is guaranteed by the compliance with:
- EN 681-1 standard: which defines the physical and mechanical characteristics of elastomers suitable for drinking and not drinking water until 110° C.
- EN 549 standard: which defines the physical and mechanical characteristics of elastomers suitable for gas with temperature between -20°C and +70°C.
The hygienic characteristics and the durability of FRABOPRESS SECURFRABO are certified by the German institute DVGW, which tested the product in its two allowed typologies of application (water and gas) with great success.
FRABOPRESS SECURFRABO fittings have been installed since 1999 in water and gas applications in very different conditions, from the north to the south of Europe. This is another proof of their reliability over time.
